| Pastor Edward Donalson was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and was educated in the public school system there.
After graduating high school, he completed his training as an Electronic Technician and was employed by the City of Philadelphia, RCA, and the Boeing Company.
Godly grandparents reared Overseer Donalson in a Christian home. Learning at an early age that he had to accept Christ as his personal savior, he did so at the age of 16, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Elmwood, Pennsylvania under the Pastorate of the late Rev. Emerson Talmadge.
He has always had a call on his life and many knew it; so with much fasting and prayer in the spring of 1976, he came before the Official Board of Emmanuel A.M.E. Church, resigned all duties and acknowledged his call to the ministry.
Dr. Donalson attended the A.M.E. Church ministerial classes for a few years. Continually seeking God for direction, he was led to attend the Main Bible Institute of which he is a graduate.
Pastor Donalson accepted the Assistant Pastorate of the No Compromise Missionary Baptist Church in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania after ordination by the West Philadelphia Ministerial Forum.
In 1982 his employment moved him and his family to Seattle. Here he attended the Friendship Missionary Baptist Church, later being led to Rainier Temple, where he became an Associate Pastor and remained there for 5 years.
Again seeking God, he was led to start a home prayer meeting and out of this has been birthed the Berean Love and Bible Fellowship.
Pastor Donalson's evangelistic efforts have been extensive throughout his ministry. Although he has traveled as far as Bermuda as a part of a revival crusade, you'll find him mostly at home visiting with the sick and shut-in. God has blessed him to speak in numerous occasions to the men at the Union Gospel Mission and to serve as an advisor to the Women's Aglow. We are honored to have our Pastor share with us what God has laid on his heart. He currently serves as our Senior Pastor and General Overseer.
